Evan Hirschbein, DPM, is one of the skilled foot and ankle surgeons practicing at Los Angeles Institute of Foot and Ankle Surgery, which has locations in Burbank, Santa Clarita, and Northridge, California. He specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, with an emphasis on sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and lower extremity trauma.
Dr. Hirschbein attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as a biomedical engineer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He then completed his medical training at Temple University in Philadelphia, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. In medical school, he worked at various sporting events, including the medical tent at the Boston Marathon and Penn relays.
Dr. Hirschbein joined the Los Angeles Institute of Foot and Ankle Surgery team after a three-year surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery in the bay area. As a chief resident, he traveled to Vietnam for a medical mission, where he taught Vietnamese orthopedic residents about the surgical management of the foot & ankle.
Dr. Hirschbein was born and raised in Southern California. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and cooking.
